I was thoroughly excited about the new season until Liverpool's poor performance against Spurs on Sunday. We seemed to lack any real structure and direction. Everyone will be saying we are already missing Alonso, but to be fair it could be a big problem. That, and the fact our bench is so weak. I do wish Benitez would give Yossi some starts though - he is a great impact player but he could be just as good for 90 minutes.
I can't see Celtic coming back against Arsenal either - even when they had the ball last night they didn't seem too much of a threat. The Arsenal goals were a bit lucky but they seemed like they would get some in other ways if they had needed.

Great day today though! 4-0 was exactly what we needed, and Burnley beating Man U is fantastic. Great result for Spurs too, it's early days but they must b feeling pretty confident at the moment.

West Ham's support can be brilliant - I have been in the Bobby Moore stand with some hammers fans before, and in the away end as a liverpool fan, and west ham fans are definitely some of the loudest!
