Its great the way we are asked to recycle everything apart from cars.

I didn't see this bit of the scrappage scheme coming, personally I've always thought the scrapage theme is a good idea anyway, as I gets polluting death traps off the road. Unfortunately as the Mini is a mass production classic it fits into that category

Anyway, I didn't realise, in a way, that the scrappage theme was no different to a car having a crash and being classed as a write off, I thought they got crushed!!!

How many Mini's like the eBay linked one would currently end up on the scrap heap each year anyway??
The chances are if the owners are willing to trade in Mini's for new cars they aren't passionate about Mini's, and they basically have them as a run about/first car etc.
You can tell this owner doesn't care about his Mini from the state of it, so the chances are it would have more than likely been scrapped/sold for £300 anyway.
