im on a mission to make one of the coolest and cleanest engine bays around.

Hi mate, i will give you a run for your money then lol Dont for get i have OCD about this sort of thing lol

ps is it done yet

simon yours is something else mate, would take some work to get it to your level...dont think i can beat your ocd this year, but ill have a good pop at it, im aiming to get all the engine and ancilieries how i was them this year, neat and tidy, then this winter ill give the car some paint (and welding) to get it to scratch, or get another shell, i wanted that shell over on turbominis for sale but have nowere to put it. the overall neatness will come over the next year, for now i just want the engine and subby and suspension perfect. and some force wheels of course  .

its not done yet no, havnt been in any mini for over a year and a half now  doing all this custom stuff like the manifolds and mounts takes time which with work and having to travell to the unit after its at dosnt really happen that often, think i need to set a solid target and stick to it. really want to be on the road in the next month or two but whether it happens we will see...

Stress relief, helps with the strength of the casing when you get rid of the bad casting marks from which a crack can run from when the power is put through it, same reason you do it with conrods (and for lightness in conrods)

Ive got someone lined up different to do me a seven port head off tm, so wont have the same problems on take 2 of the engine. Haha ;)

Well this is as far as it has come in 2 years:

Posted Image

Had to retrive it from the place doing the engine due to ongoing problems, so 2 years later ive ended up with this. Havnt got anything engine wise bar a short engine which isnt all that great. Looks increasingly likely were going to have to take it to court to get my bits or my money. Isnt owning a mini joyful.
