Looks superb, keep the updates coming. I live in manchester too!!, so if my MK1 Cooper gets mugged by a Z cars van and saloon, then I'll know its by a couple of hooligans from Denton!!! :D :teehee: They would be nice to see when finished.

Real jelous, but the only way I could afford a z cars project, would be to sell the Cooper, but I've owned it for 20 years so can't quite bring myself to do it!

all the best

Progress has been abit slow since the last update.

fuel tanks mounted
radiators mounted
gear stick and gear cables are in
2x top mounts to stop the rear of the shell moving around are tacked in place
exhaust is on ( tail pipe needs extending when it eventually goes to zcars )
reverse flip front is mounted.

The next things in the to-do list are:

finish the flip front ( catches , panel gaps etc )
finish 2x bottom rear mounts to stop the shell moving
coolant pipes etc
sort the gaps, general fit of the doors

Think thats a big enough list for now ..... bite size chunks are best....

Hey

Just noticed you have the same wheels as me. Did yours fit ok on the back. The centre of the hubs were too small on mine.

Hi

ive got an 8mm spacer on the back and 3mm on the front. the hubs on mine were too small so zcars machined some out for me. they fit no probs now

thanks

Great project, i really like something different, it'll be a wolf in sheeps clothing! Also how will will the fuel filler neck work if the tank is in the front? Or have i got the wrong idea? Anyways great stuff so far. :D

I'm really diggin' those wheels. I've been thinking about buying a set of those "Super Mini" black spokes for my Mini, now after seeing them on your Van....I'm buying them! What offset are they?
