My overfuelling was down to the air intake sensor - basically the engine didnt come with one supplied, but as I had no experience with the engine at the time I wasnt aware of the fact. So if yours is massively overfuelling, black smoking & wont go above 3500rpm then it could be the air intake sensor, or it could jsut be your map, either way I bet your chuffed to have it running, good work......

Thanks Andy you were right, i got a sensor from honda and it seems to have cured it.
progress has been slow over the past couple of weeks as i have bought another toy. i decided i wanted to have a go at track days and a honda civic vti with the B18C4 engine came up cheap so ive been getting that all stripped out and ready for the 14 nov Anglesey track day.
having driven the civic ( virtually all of the time on vtec ) its spured me on to get the van ready for a test drive ( brake lines, seat brackets etc ) so i can experience the vtec in that.

Yesterday was my first day back working on the van for quite a while, ive been having fun with the track car and fitting a new kitchen ( which was suppost to be being done when the van was finished............bloody women ).

The seats are now properly mounted and secure, digi dash is mounted,
i then started to prepare the closing plate for the rear valance, abit of welding here and there then abit of grinding luckily with the soft pad as the grinder decided it would rather soft pad my nose rather than the car ( yes... it hurt ).
Hopefully in the next week or so i can start fitting the doors, catches and the front end ready for the big strip down and off to paint..
not really much to show pic wise, ill put some up as soon as somthing noticable happens.
cheers

After spending some time trying to get the carbon fiber doors to fit i decided to go back to the steel ones. So i had a trip up to The Mini Door Company in Preston to have the original ones re-skinned, door pockets removed etc.
I wasn`t happy with the fit of the doors and not sure if they would have been water tight. id also heard rumours that at speed the tops of the carbon fiber and fiberglass doors flex out quite considerably.
i will post pics when i get the doors back......
