as for the actual bike, u want to get a bike and not a moped. if you can afford it, go for a DERBI GPR 50, it will be restricted to 45 however capable of over 100

Stop it, I've just fallen off my chair laughing,

Alan...

haha, sorry i was thinking of the gpr125...the gpr 50 is capable of 70 unrestricted according to the forums, however u cant drive on motorways on a CBT anyway, so pointless!

Sorry to hi-jack, but i was thinking of starting a similar topic, so this makes sence.

I am having a similar problem my self at the moment, except i am a year older, so i am looking at 125 bikes.

I know all the rules and regs by heart i read them that many times, and i have already got my provisional, and will be booking my CBT on a 50cc manual later this week.

The problem i have is what bike to get.

Ive seen the RS125 and it looks like a niceeeee bike
Is the derbi GPR 125 any better? faster slower?
And can anyone recomend something better?

Also, what is the top speed once a K&N eliment is fitted and the air box drilled on a RS125, once de-restricted?

Thanks

Chris

Derestricted Rs125 will do about a ton with around 33hp. fit an arrows system and you'll get about 105. do a search for the superteens series!

Of course there road legal

Might want to head over to http://www.monkeyrun.co.uk/ then go to the forum (its not very nice to use but theres alot of members there)

try and stick with at least a Honda engine even if its in a chinky frame. make sure its already registered

DAX are pretty cool a little bit bigger aswell, have a look at Z50s of course. you can always buy a cheap bike and stick a engine from another honda in like a C90 step through although gears are reversed on them (clicking gear change up will change down gear)

take a look on http://www.monkeybike.co.uk/ for all the shiny bits which will empty your wallet
