Hymoto seem to do quite a range, and i done a lil research on the engine - couldnt find anything about the 50cc but the 110cc seem to have a good feedback.

does any one have any experience with the bike?

EDIT : Just aving a second look at the site, is it even road legal?!

PS sorry for the amount of questions!

I was a firefighter for 9 years... i have seen decapitiations, lost limbs etc.. sometimes of people i know. I left in March.

In May, one of my best buddies (and a firefighter himself) was knocked off of his bike on his way home to his daughters birthday party.

I have a full licence. i may ride a bike again but YOU MUST buy the best kit you can afford, watch out for others and Never expect cars to see you!!!!!! There are some real idiots on the roads.... don't be one of them.

Never a truer word spoken.

you have a 600 quid budget? That needs doubling so it includes, in order of priority, helmet(£200 shoei very good) decent leather gloves(£100), decent boot's(£150), decent jacket and kevlar jeans(as a min £150)

Please make sure you wear proper gear I wish I had been wearing Kevlar jeans or leathers before we came off. Don't be one of the numb nuts flying around in a tee shirt, shorts and trainers. Make sure you get a good fitting helmet too.

Good luck and safe, happy biking

Sometimes you can pick up Kevlar gear at bike shows, end of lines etc which are cheaper than shop prices. A MUST I would say!

defo have to second that, make sure its all comfertable too so your concentraing on the road, not trying to loosen/tighten something which isnt right.

And with the helmet make sure it is a good fit, ive been on my uncles bike with him, and at some speeds (...) the helmet starts to try and lift its self off my head :S didnt go far like that, and he kept it at a comfertable speed untill we got back.

Not all chinese bikes are bad. I bought one of these 7ish months ago. http://www.118mpg.co...motobikes1.html Mainly for commuting but wanted something full size. It uses the same frame etc as its 125cc big brother. I bought it unregistered, in pieces, in a crate so saved a decent amount off the price shown at that link. Am going to sell it as I've just bought a rusty but mot'd mini off ebay.

Well..

When i was in your position (few months back) i found out as many makes (eg. Yamaha, malaguti, pug) as possible, and searched ebay and autotrader for a few weeks until i found the right one, which was a Yamaha aerox..

The auction was still running so i bribed the bloke to take it off for £150 and that was that. All i had to do is pick it up. It worked, just cosmetic things really. to be honest you may worry about these things now, but when you get a ped/bike at 16 your bound to scrape it now and again so dont go buy a mint condition one because you'll be extra annoyed when you scratch it yourself :-

Also as said before, get the best helmet you can afford. I got mine for £100 in the sale so shop around.

Ye i had a bike untilll now turned 17..

Send of for a provisional licience (Moped licience) when that comes book your cbt at the test centre and go wen they tell you ...

It will be like 15 - 20 quidmore if you use there bikes..

Cbt takes about 4-5 hours then you will pass then you can get what bike / Moped / Monkey bike you want..

Im not going to say i wont damage/scratch it, the reason i was prefering new was because of the warrenty. The scooter ive now pretty much made my mind up on is within price and the seller is on ebay with a shop so stock isnt an issue. But it has a 1 year engine warrenty, perfect as i willl probz flog it oce ive got my car licence.

I like the look and spec of the posted link - only prob is price. About 700 quid too much unfortunatly :-

Thanks for input guys!
