The issue with the Weber carb is a red-herring as if you did fail an mot because of this you could easily put the bulkhead back to standard and fit twin SU's with no real loss of performance on the road.
A GRP front end, however, may be another matter as the main load-carrying monocoque structure has been extensively modified. If you get away with it then fine. If not then either an IVA test/Q-plate or a return to the original steel bodywork will be needed.

from what i have read if you fail a vehicle identification test there is no going back to standard
it's BIVA test and re register or the car stays off the road
but like most of this untill it happens to a member on TMF we aren't really going to know

Well I was thinking of putting a turbo on my car, but with those rules have just S**T canned that idea. I think its the fact of keeping the engine as it is!

Go the t2 route with a Mirage manifold setup.
Great results and no body mods needed

I'm currently building a 200bhp supercharged a series mini, so my floorpan will need strenthening with a box section frame inside and outside the car so it doesn't twist on accelaration. Will this then fail its MOT?

only if welded on badly and the tester thought it might fall off

Hi folks, this has always been the case, but the authorities have never been in a place to fully regulate.
As your car tax, insurance and MOT details steadily go onto HM Gov's databases then things will be tightened up bit by bit.
