kind of cleaned the mini up a bit, started piling everything by the door ready to load :) more importantly got the first batch of beer - 48 bottles of ASAHI Japanese lager ;)

I'm also taking out a 3KVA generator and one of the big screens, so if anyone fancies a beer and movie one night call on by :)

I went to Peter Balwins today to get my new engine dyno'd and checked over. Everything is good so I've just got to get my camping stuff together and contact my insurance company and AA to let them know I'm going. L2B on Sunday and then it's back into the garage for a once over and then the off early on Thursday morning. It's the first time aboard for the Mini so I’m nervous and excited at the same time.

I've got everything sorted now I think - rolling road, wash and polish tomorrow and we're set. Going to the L2B, then making our way across germany, several nights drinking in munich, then on to the show and more beer. Taking in the 'ring on the way back too, its gonna be an epic trip :)

Yeah baby, bring it on. This time next week we'll be in Germany enjoying the culture, I've even been practicing my German, "ein großes Bier bitte". :)

Cheers dude, Jay and Silent Bob are my favourite anti heroes. I keep meaning to get Kevin Smiths' films on DVD, I used to have allot of them on video until we decorated the lounge and all my vids went to the charity shop.

What route are those of you going from Dunkirk taking? I've only gone as far as Charleroi heading east so I'm open to advice from seasoned travellers. I've heard the ring road around Brussels can be very busy but it comes up as the shorter route.

Via Michelin gives
505 miles. Dunkirk - Brugge - Brussels - Aachen,

my Garmin sat nav wants to go
537miles. Dunkirk - Lille - Charleroi - Liege - Aachen

from Aachen the routes are the same
A4-E40 towards Koln (Cologne) and then all the way to Neumarkt on the A3-E35

yea love jay and silent bob, dogma is just class.

can I make that my avatar? How do I do that?

I'm even more chuffed, my old parkard bell sat nav I bought about 5 years ago, I didnt think had european maps, so was about to go and buy another one, and just to be sure I went through the option stuck in the neumarkt name and wallop up it came, so that a few hundred saved!!!
