[project mini chris]

any progress callum??

Sort of , Chris , Sort of
Have just been to Minispares Potters Bar and have made a purchase (well my dad did)

This is what I bought:

I also sat in a few bucket seats , felt how light a fibreglass bonnet was (might get one of them) and looked at all the little things (Minifins , lights , minilites etc.)

EDIT: ALSO DAD BOUGHT A SECOND HAND EXHAUST OF A MATE AT WORK FOR £20 GOTTA BE BETTER THAN OUR ONE NOW WILL BE PICKED UP IN NEW YEAR.

no not any progress mate , but im going dads tomorrow and should get some stuff done
we're going to his workmates to get an exhaust and some wheels (both standard) hopefully the wheels are 10s but i think there 12s
he used to own and restore minis so he should have some stuff and will probably be buying some more stuff off him if he has anything good
yeah the car is in the garage , and yes it is cold but me and dad are thinking of getting a heater and we should be wiring the garage into the house fuseboard instead of having to use the extension cable every time

sounds good, i started work on my minivan over xmas, it doesn't seem too bad, but it hasnt had any panels ripped off yet, so we will see lol!

wowzers, now that is a rusty mini!Good luck with it Bradley, it really will be a phoenix from the flames if you manage to get it restored!
On a friendly note, I would take any advice Shifty Seamus gives ya, if ya follow his project threads he has restored some absolute scrappers, his welding is top notch too, hes worth listening to
I thought my mini was bad until i saw this, will say a prayer for it tonight!
Will follow this resto with interest matey and offer any advice that may be of use.
Whats the plans for it the chap, big phat arches and wide wheels?

No not yet mate , maybe next time at dads
I'll ask him tonight if we can pop up minispares when I see him on the 30th and hopefully get some more panels then progress can start

I think it'll be sitting on 12s but not wide arches maybe Group 2 rallys?

Just ran through your progress, and boy you have your work cut owt. Makes me think how lucky I am mine wasnt this bad. At the end of the day, the more you have to do, the more you will learn from restoring it! Also the more that needs to be done on it the better I think, less to be done in the long haul!
You have made good progress since August.

Are them 12's you got with it? Keep 'em they are mint. There's plenty you could do with them.

Keep at the welding, you will get there eventually!

Yeah they are 12s and thanks yeah thats the idea compelete overhaul wont need doing for a few years
