The only reason i'm saying this is the amount of work that i have done on Project Erm these last 4 weeks. (see the link)
A brief description of what i did in the engine bay is this.
Removed complete inner wings and replaced.
Bulkhead repairs, top sections of bulkhead both sides, bulkhead cross member replaced sections both sides, lower bulkhead section completely replaced, stiffener section for damper mounts both sides, repaired both inner wing stiffener angles. Complete scuttle replacement, scuttle closeout panels both sides, both A panels, both wings and front panel. Not to mention all the little repair sections i have had to make.
Although not daunting its a lot of work and the panels alone came close to £500 but from my point of view i now know my son will have a very solid, safe car and not the bodged wreck it was before.
You have a MAJOR project on your hands and it will be expensive, whatever you do try not to take short cuts, it make take longer than you think but be patient and concentrate on getting the shell soild and safe.
Sorry its such a long spiel but its out of concern for the amount of work you have got to do.
Good luck!!
