You can use an old 'precision' screwdriver to drift out the roll pin. Put it in reverse first and then just push out the frontmost pin. Easier than you think...
Whats a precision screwdriver lol
I will pass it on to dad
By frontmost is that the one towards the front of the car
sorry that sounds noobish but oh well
Will have to reconnect the gear stick to put it into reverse but shouldnt be hard
Cheers anyway

Any more done? Or is the rain stopping play?
It is here - I've had to resort to doing wooden decking in the garden. Power tools in the rain - gotta love it!
I have done work today engine is nearly out except from pin in gearbox holding it in
Took pictures but dont have phone cable to upload them
Engine should be coming out
And had change of plan
Cutting out drivers floor AGAIN
and buying a front to rear and welding it in
will be buying an A post (door frame)
and crossmember
but need the money first
Will get pics up tomorrow
Thats good to hear, it will be worth it in the end!!!
Keep up the updates

What do you mean "Whats a precision screwdriver"?!!? You muppet!

Yes, frontmost is the closest to the front of the car. I wasn't very clear, sorry.
I used a cross-head screwdriver. The shaft of the screwdriver actually did the work of drifting out the rollpin.
It's labelled and stored for this job now..

Oh and the rollpin eventually decided it would come out but what an effort to get that out
The car is so light now LOL
Dad lifted the engine and then I pushed the car back

Is it just see or has your mini sprung open because your floor and door step etc are missing?

im not one to judge though as i have a mini pick up in simular condition except most of it is held together with patches upon patches, only good thing about it is its straight, have you checked your alignmet of the vehicle as with this much missing without bracing it could have moved over time, be sure to check before you spend more money on it, the price soon goes up, i spent over £4000 on panels alone on the pickup

have checked the alignment but will be fixedyou look like you got alot of serious work on your hands with this one, if you're willing to spend an arm and a leg on panels and put the work in then fair enough but as others have said it may be cheaper and easier to find another shell, have a look on ebay or in the classifieds section on here, can probably pick one up at a fraction of the price of the panels you need alone.

Bradley, tip for the photos - zoom out a bit so we can see the work in context a little better.
