Just wanted to check to see how much it would cost me with Footman James to get insurance for a 1978 Mini Clubman 1275gt that i want.

I am 32 and have been driving since i was 18.

I had a quote of £140.10 fully comp.

So i'm over the moon with that, and the Mini will be tax exempt due to it being over 25 years old.

Just because its over 25 years old does not mean it will be tax exempt. It needs to be built before 1973.

ive just rang up footman james today and must say im impressed, i paid 1800 last year with another company, who's renewal was 1600

im 20, have a stage 1 1275 with alloy wheels on there, TPFT limited to 4500 miles and £75 excess and they quoted me £463.50

im well happy at that, i havnt declared the solid mounted fibreglass front end because i forgot, but when i ring up to take the quote i will let them know

ill be changine back to a steel front later in the year anyways

just tried footman james for a quote. after spending 20 minutes on hold i got told they won't insure anything with more than a 10bhp increase, what a load of arse.
