im 16, nearly 17, most of the people at my school talk like that, i dont, but i do understand most of it as i am pretty much surrounded by it on a daily bassis.

I do use some of the words, but only so that they can understand what im saying.

I have noticed that where i go to school they are only beigning to use words that ive heard about a year ago in slough. It must be working its way out from london very slowly

You can keep it up there with you!!

If the chavs down here started to talk like that i'd have to hit them with a heavy object -.-

It was probably a year ago, i was at the local skatepark (actually skateboarding and not just loitering-) And some young guys, probably about 16-18 turn up. They start harrassing the grunge-emo type people you usually get at the parks, but one of them climbed onto a ramp i was standing on, turned to me, stuck out his fist and said "safe bruv?"

for a few seconds i had this expression --> on my face. Eventually it registered in my brain that he believed i was "acceptable" so i clumsily muttered "er, yeah, safe."

We already have a language i don't see why they have to go make up their own.

Guys in my 6th form used a lot of chav dialect too, words like hench, safe, bare, "wedge" (Particularly large), "chief" (apparently means "to steal" i.e. Why you be chiefing ma fone?")

The one i hated the most was "allow", eventually everyone started using it, even normal people. If you say "allow that" it means "forget doing that". Doesn't even make sense
