Looking forward to seeing how yours looks all sprayed too, as I said earlier, I still reckon yours will be on the road before mine! dont know if you saw what I put earlier but its looking like my project will be on hold the next few months while I get my flat/ house stuff sorted out

Cheers mate,

As always Pete's work is top notch, cant wait to see this all complete now, I know it's going to be a slow process as you have other things going on but the main part of the build is now over, it's juat a case of putting it all back together and trying to remember where all the bits go !!!!!!!

Keep at it mate it's looking really good :-

Cheers

Thanks Andy,
yep the hard part is nearly done now, Pete emailed me last night, should be getting the 'shell back to me next week hopefully. I've got 99% of the parts to assemble the subframes and running gear now, as you said its the fun of remembering how it all goes back together next!

Not long until yours is ready for paint either is it, fair play to you for doing your own bodywork, I would never have the time!
Cheers,
Nick.

Hi Nick

All the bodywork is done on mine now, just got to finish of the primer coat and then I'm ready for the finish, can't wait to get the painting done so that I can start on the re-assembly.
I do wish that I'd got somone like Pete to do the painting though, I can't believe how time consuming it is.

Keep up the good work

Cheers

Andy

A very big milestone for the rebuild was reached today- I got the shell back! ;) Looking very shiny indeed, unfortunatley could not get too many pictures as it was raining at the time, so here's just a few for now:

Attached File  250.jpg   38.83K   20 downloads
Attached File  251.jpg   46.76K   15 downloads
Attached File  252.jpg   43.35K   21 downloads
Attached File  253.jpg   45.32K   30 downloads

I'm so pleased with how its turned out, even on delivering it back Petes attention to detail was amazing- he had even fabricated brackets to mount the ratchet straps to the shell, using the bolt holes which the subframes are usually mounted to, so as not to damage the painwork in any way- how many people nowadays would go to that much trouble?

I am now dying to get my hands on it and start putting it all back together (although I am very worried I'm going to scratch it) but it is gonna have to wait a while now, have to get my flat up to a top rental standard, finish putting in my mother-in-laws bathroom and, when I get it, sort out my new house, all around a full time job & 2 young kids
