Hi all,

Just been to pick this rolling shell up with Jordie today.

Its a miglia built from a brand new shell by Peter Vickers about 7-8 years ago.I believe it was driven by Malcolm Stapleton before being sold to the guy i bought it from.It needs a few little bits of tidying up doing but virtually nothing at all,i would say the pics dont do it much justice as the inside is full of dust and dirty water marks.

Rough spec for the shell (loads of other small details but heres the main bits);

*Full weld in cage with harness bar,crossed door bars,tied into a and b pillars,through rear bulkhead,ties into front and rear suspension mounts,mount for steering column,seat and harness mounts on cage etc etc.
*Seam welded around suspension mounts and most other panel joints.
*Rear anti foll bar.
*Sealed front and rear bulkheads.
*Full width bulkhead box.
*Custom made vickers alloy boot floor.
*Custom made vickers alloy dash.
*Carbon front end,bonnet & boot lid.
*Mounts for internal gear linkage.
*Carbon fibre parcel shelf.
*Rear valance removed.

Spec for the rest of the car so far;

*Custom pedal box with remote reservoirs.
*Braided lines throughout
*Brake bias controller
*Rear subframe converted to solid mounts but straight to body with no trunnions etc
*Tubular rear section of subframe to replace c section.
*Minifin drums but with fins turned down for weight.
*Front subframe strengthened and extra mounts added to bulkhead.
*Front tower bolts replace to allow direct access for heigh adjustment.
*Heavy duty adjustable tie rods bottom arms etc.
*Hilos all round.
*Uprated cones.
*7x10 mb racing split rims
*Yokohama A032r tyres.

Theres loads of small things i havnt mentioned but i will have a good poke around it tomorrow and see what else i can find.In the mean time heres a load of random pics.

Thanks guys,glad you like it.

Shifty you might know the reg from Iain (turbominis) the previous owner,he'had it out and about at avon and the pod a few times before it was stripped down.

It will be used on the road and trackdays,cant afford to do any proper racing :thumbsup:

Again,thanks guys - although a cant take credit for doing anything other than buying it :thumbsup:

Engine will be an a series but a little on decided on whether to go turbo or NA,the previous owner ran a 180bhp turbo which went pretty well by all accounts so kind of leaning towards that as well.Either way it will be nicely specced and decent power......dont think a standard 998 would complete the package somehow!

Jordie,your welcome to come over and sit in it and make brum brum noises with me,you can be the co-driver!

Hit a slight snag when i got it in the garage,i popped the seat in to check if the position was ok.It was ok for distance from the pedals etc but i didnt half have a job on getting my big arse into the seat!Might have to adjust the mounts to fit a wider version - how shameful!
