Cheers deemo, glad to see your back. You managed ant progress on yours or got your tools sorted yet?

Jordie im quite taken by the grey thats already in the interior but colours for the outside is anyones guess.I like the red and white but i need the doors and a new bonnet sprayed along with some general tidying up so probably change colour while im on,maybe a similar theme but different colours?

Cheers Ross.

Well did a bit more this afternoon to make sure i have free time tonight to watch top gear!

The handbrake had been added after the cars build and the position its was in wasnt comfortable for me and it was put in a bit messy as well so thought i would hack it out and start again.

You can see where the front bracket has been it looks almost double skinned,im pretty sure this is where the original hole for the handbrake cable has been plated over from beneath.
This took a while to do as the welds were a bit heavy duty and took a while to clean up nicely.Bar removing some old rivets, the other job for today was to remove the fuel hose which was riveted into place in some awkward positions.Used a dremel to get in at them as the drill wouldnt have gone anywhere them.

Fuel hose and fittings.

Long story, but yeah I now have some shiny new tools ;) I'll post something in my project thread soon.

What's the plan for the handbrake now then?

Handbrake will be in roughly the same place, apart from it looking a bit untidy I removed it as it was slightly pointing off centre but most importantly i need to re-position/rejig the seat brackets (I need an excel/gt width seat in which to fit my excel/gt width arse) and it would have made it awkward to reweld the inner one.I might not have quite as much room once the wider seat is in so its probably best to get that done then fit the handbrake around the seat.

Also going to get a shorter cable made up as the handbrake is quite away back from the standard position, ive seen people use threaded bar but seems like a bit of a bodge.
