Apart from a general tidying up/finishing off and the obvious engine and box,it still needs some wiring, front brakes, fuel tank and pump etc, some clocks and a seat/2 seats, plumbing, new bonnet, gear linkage.Thats the main bits anyway,I think i had better get saving

Steve there will be some tidying up going on before it build back up (also a good chance to let the parts fund build up a bit).

I decided to make a start in the interior as i want to get the interior sorted out for being resprayed. There was a bit of surface rust from water sitting in the floor flutes and various bits that needed tidying up where modifications had been made but not finished off that needed tidying up along with sorting out loads of smaller bits as well.
Made a start by removing what was left of the wiring loom as there wasnt much there worth keeping, then pulled out all the brake lines along with the pedal box and the remote reservoirs.I still have the fuel line to remove but will get that next time.

Then plucked up the courage to take a grinder to the cage where bits had been cut off or added in the past.
First job was the column mount which had a bracket of some sort welded onto it and i wanted to reshape it a bit anyway.
Before

After

Next was on the seat frame area where 2 harness eyes had been cut off.
Before

After

A roof bar had been cut out of the cage that went from the front passenger corner to the main rollover hoop. The rear bit wasnt too bad to reshape as it was pretty accessible.
Before

After

The front section wasnt so straight forward as it was where the bars meet and close to the roof skin and cant rail.It was a bit of a pig to get the very top cormer neat but its about as close as its going to get without taking too much of the weld between the two remaining bars.
Before

After

Hopefully more to come soon, think im going to have to limber myself up a bit as well as i may have got slightly stuck in amongst the cage on a couple of occasions.

I have an old B&D power file that is great for getting into the awkward corners without risking damage to other parts.
I may have missed it previously but is this car going back on the road or will it be a track day car?

Steve, it will be used for both, getting it road legal isnt too much work from where it is now.Mainly just wiring to be honest as everything else is just about there. That said how bearable it is to use on the road might be another thing

Rich,Hopefully should have some more updates on their way soon, been watching your thread over on turbominis it looks a lovely car - impressive power figures as well.
Cheers Ross.
