Can a mod edit the title of this to. Total rust bucket mini clubman.

Update, been down the garage today and picked some more rust, what a rust bucket it's alot worse than i thought and if i knew this i would of never paid £400 for it :)
Ive worked out that it needs just under £1000 in panels alone, is it even worth it.
Panels needed
2 wings, full boot floor with rear seat base., full internal floor, outer sills, jacking points, heelboard, right and left hand a post stiffeners, right and left doorsteps, right and left flitch panels, headlight surround panels, 2 rear inner arches, scuttle closeing panels.

Is it even worth it, maybe i should just turn it into a cube.

Chin up Cookie, we've all been there, you just need to set yourself a plan of attack and stick to it, dont start to many things at once or it will all start to go pearshaped on you, you'll get there mate it might just take a tad longer than originally planned , but thats mini's for you

Cheers

It's always daunting when you start a project, moreso when you start stripping down as thats when you find all the bodges and the nasty bits, keep up the good work

Looks like a long road ahead but it makes it all the more worthwhile when you stand back and look at the result, knowing that it's all down to your hard work. As said it must be disheartening but keep your head up and just try to break it up and concentrate on one thing at a time.
I read a comment from someone once on another thread that seemed a really good idea.
Break the jobs up into jobs that you're not looking forward to and then reward jobs that you'll enjoy, those little extras that will be the finishing parts. So maybe painting up some finishing parts or polishing some bits up, something that keeps you in touch with what you're working towards.
Break the jobs that you're not looking forward to up into sections, once you finish a section then do a reward job or order some bright work or interior bits. Might work for you, help keep you from feeling overwhelmed by it. :)
Look forward to seeing how you get on mate :)

Today ive finally manage to get a bit of work done on the clubby :)

Desrusted o/s inner wing, made up and welded some patches in and also a new headlamp panel welded into place.

Inner wing derusted, kurusted and patches welded in corners.

Keep going its coming on, it does get you down finding more and more rust but when its all done and shiney it will be worth it.

Been there, still doing it. Twice i said i would scrap ERM but now looking back at it i've enjoyed the challenge. As the the old saying goes " It ain't over till the fat lady sings" :)

In 1 way im feeling bad about selling you it after you have found all this rust. I didnt think it was as bad as it is. But on a positive note i cant believe how much better its looking already! 1 thing for sure once it is finished its going to be pretty much perfect! Well done mate and keep up the hard work. Im so glad its actually being done and not just rotting even more :D
