Done some more today, doesnt look much but wasnt the easiest job in the world.
picture of how i started.

Then my grinder decided to pack up
Lucky i have 2.
Then i cut a big hole.

Then i removed the door post panel.

Clean up all the surface rust and spayed with weld thrue primer.

Then i welded it in place, looks a mess but the grinder should sort it and i hope the door lines up otherwise my big hammer is comeing out.

Sprayed some black paint on the inner wing, i gatherd the more paint the better.

And how i finished, hopefully have the flitch welded in place tommorow.

Nice work
Although you might want to leave the final flinch panel welding till the door is in place (saves tears laters) as i've found the holes in the drivers side panles line up, but too far inboard on the panel. so you might find once the door is bolted up the flinch and a panle stick out further than the door does by quite a bit. Easy fix though, just file out the holes and move the flich panel inboard a bit more before welding.
