The key to engine power is getting it to breath easier, my money would be spent on the cylinder head, big valves and some nice porting work. I changed a cylinder head on my other car (pinto power'd) for a big valved head fully ported, i also fitted a piper 270 cam, and the difference was amazing it pulled so much better from lower rev's and didn't feel restricted at high RPM. Next jobs is some GSXR 750 throttle bodies and a megasquirt ecu for fuel and ignition. :wink: :wink:

Well i got the car running better this afternoon.

All i did was clean the rotor arma nd inside the dizzy etc.

My mate said that the dizzy cap was not very good. all the conacts had a nice big groove/dish in them. So i went to halfords and bought a new dizzy cap rotor \arm and bosch lead set. Gonna fit tomoz and engine should be much better.

i'd get some KAD four pots for your discs or a nice new set of twin carbs!!!

i am getting a manifld and stainless rc40 from the cat back and some corbeau forza bucket seats. Not sure what else to get

Probably not much because it will be mostly gone with all that lot

I agree, twin SUs and a performance exhaust. That should only cost you about 300 if you can get a good second hand pair of twins... You may even be able to get a cylinder head and makje it up to a stage 3 kit!!!

Where are you getting your seats from? i think im going with some Cobra Monaco's but not sure where to get the subframes?

you can usually get the subframes from the place you buy the seats. Either that or go to Cobra themselves.

I think they only make universal subframes for the Cobra Clubman and Monaco (I think) seats, I've have an Imola seat that will need a custom subframe made...

subframes are £50 a piece from minisport, seems a bit much to me

I'm getting the seats from ebay as there cheaper.

Just made an order with minispares. got the manifold with link pipe and a stainless steel cat back rc40 exhaust!!!

a few other bits aswell but nothing special.

looking out for seats now and might get a head unit.

or save it for the welding work!!!

I got a set of Cream Corbeau classic buckets, subframes, matching rear seat upholstery, door cards and a nice momo steering wheel for £500 from Huddersfiled mini's ...
£500 well spent, as they look smart !! A decent set of wheels and decent tyres would cost more in my experience, unless you go for something a bit run of the mill.
