Drove to Aberystwyth and back, via the Elan valley and mountain road on the way there.

Found my rad leaked a bit, then quite a bit when I got home, there wasn't any water visible in the top of the rad, . Never overheated on the temp gauge.
I'm hoping it's just a diff cap, otherwise might need a new rad.

Finally welded the new battery box into the red mini. Getting back into it after a loooooong break lol

Fitted new choke cable.

Unpacked a pile of bits that arrived from MiniSpares. Lush.

well mine is in the garage after her run yesterday!.... needs the calipers swapped on the front(side to side) then bleed the brakes :)

disconnected and stripped the engine bay redy for removal on saturday.
Fixing all of the leaks I have and doing head gasket with the engine out, thoroughly going over the whole car and generally tidying it all up ready for Nurburg next month

Wired in my three auxiliary gauges. Hoping to get the dash rails back on and the dash fitted within the next couple of days.

Nearing the end of a 3-year rebuild/restoration and decided it was time to fit speedo and gauges. Fab'd this center 'binnacle' from some sheet alloy and covered it in fake black lizard skin. It's a temporary measure while I decide exactly what dash configuration to build... but I kind of like it so it may just stay :)

Removed whole battery cable and replaced with new one. Just need to finish the termination in the boot after adding a kill switch.

Tidied even more wiring under the bonnet, getting there, doesn't look like spaghetti anymore. Keeping all the loom open just now as I need to sort some of the wiring as the coil and electronic dizzy are mismatched.

Made a new bracket for air horns, air horn compressor and standard horn.

Spent ages polishing a new WP rocker cover to fit tomorrow.

Completed putting the behind dash loom back together. Much tidier now. Ready to put dash rail covers and dashboard in now.

Hopefully finish all the wiring tomorrow and can spend the weekend putting in an interior.

New boot lock installed and finally, a wheel lock.

Now I can leave Sox in carparks and not feel too paranoid..

Took it out for it's first decent run this year now that the salt is disappearing from the roads. Never ceases to amaze me how much I enjoy pottering around in a Mk1 850 at 40 - 50 mph, Don't need a 1275 or 1380 or motorbike engined thingy to have fun!

Finally got round to fitting the new wheels. Being a girl, I decided I didn't like them and reverted back to original. Will get them up on e-bay when i get the time.

Drove mini to the pub and sat outside with a lemonade watching pub goers admiring the car.
