Took it out for a drive around Yorkshire dales just over 80 miles never missed a beat, then gave it a treat with grease gun.  ;D

1) fitted a home made blanking plate to sit behind the grille in an attempt to help run hotter

2) fitted new set of plugs as seems to be eating them at the mo

3) finally finished diy alloy refurb ready for winter tyres to be fitted

 

and finish the day watching darts final --- heaven !

pumped up the tyres. took it for a healthy spin. cleaned the glass and applied some rainx - ready for another week of commuting!

Then down to the shed with my dad, other engine, timing chain and timing cover on. flywheel and clutch assembly on. Just ancilleries and head to go nowww EEEK!

Took the wheel off because i thought one of the ball joints looked 'iffy'.  Three hours later both sides suspension and steering are completely dismantled and on the garage floor  :-)

Went shopping in it, washed it, hoovered it, checked levels and oiled where needed :)

Started it up to see if it still could.  Fuel took a while to come through but once it arrived, no bother at all.  Running a bit lumpy butdidnt run it up to temperature.  Still sounds epic.  Miss driving it but the time of year puts a stop to that anyway!

Modified a tow bar so, when fitted, I could remove the end when I'm not using it because let's be honest tow bars are ugly but also handy for a daily driver.

4 bolts to fit and remove end without having to jack it up, quick ant easy. Once I have painted it black it will barely be visable. Very pleased with it.

Yeah plenty, I'm only towing one of those small camping type tents. Wouldn't want to tow much with a mini anyway.

removed passenger door then swapped the bits over to my good door, so much fun!
