Changed engine mounts and modified seats to mount on furthest hole, all in preparation for our 1100km road trip in a few weeks time as well as wiring up the spotlights.

Fitted 4 new marshell tyres, what a difference to the drive.
Holds the road that much better
Having not owned a mini for 30 years you forget the difference small things make.

Checked the heated rear window element as its not working and noticed that every track has a break in it. Dunno whether to replace the window or just repair the track

ripped out the carpets and soundproofing and unblocked all the drainage holes.

Put the engine back in, coupled up the drive shafts & fitted the front suspension!!!

Bought it from Minibitz up in Auckland, their head mechanic Simon built the rack himself and he has made a few in the past, though I'm not sure how regularly they'd do this/if they would make to order. It was displayed up on their wall for a while and I liked the look of it, so they helped me fit it on my car and I happily bought it and drove away.
