Nightmare getting the rear lower bolt on the cowling off as had rusted in.
Brute force and an angle grinder sorted in the end.
Fingers crossed no more leaks!

It's all stuff I need to sort, but now it's in there it wont be happening any time soon.
I welded up the holes where I removed the lip from my bonnet and moved more stuff into the shed

Got the car out of the garage, run an extension lead for the welder, cleaned up the spots I was going to weld and sprayed them with weld through primer. Because its so bloody cold the paint took ages to dry and it started raining. Put it all back in the garage and went back in the house. Marvellous!

Replaced the tie bar bushes, set the front camber and tracking.
Then the tracking, alignment and camber on the rear as well.
What a difference!!
Then replaced the padding on both door bars and wrapped them in vetwrap to stop them from getting torn when you catch them getting in and out.

Hi had the pleasure of changing the steering rack today . It was being a right git, one of the u bolts just wasnt having it but it saw it my way in the end
. Brute force does come in handy from time to time. A good job out of the way and releived its all back together and tracked up.

Friday I fitted 2 drivers side ball joints. Today I fitted the 2 passenger side ball joints, fitted a new pair of rear shocks, went over the exterior with some quick detailer to get rid of the crappy Sahara dust filled water marks. Also put some nuts on the back of my switch panel to hold it in and tried lubing my speedo cable (with GT85, failed, still squeaks so needs a proper grease).
All in all, very happy. No more knocks from the rear of the car (I assume it was dodgy/old shocks) and no more play in the front wheels.
