Got the original wheels back from having them refurbished.

Really pleased. Shame it seems like a long time before I can fit them........so many jobs to do.

Bought 3 carbs for 60€. One older HS4, one newer HS4, one HS6.

Dismantled both HS4 and cleaned them in my ultrasonic bath, works a treat!!

Then I spent a little time to polish the dash pots to make them a little bit shinier.

This evening it's time to swim for the HS6.

And maybe my 12G295 in citric acid bath to remove the rust.

I cleaned the old gaskets off between the block and the gearbox, fitted a new oil pump and clutch release bearing.

Not today but the last time I worked on my car the other week. At the beginning of the night just the gear box and block were present.

Over the last few weeks been tinkering - fitted a cup holder for my morning coffee. Adjusted hilos, replace the rubber subframe mounts to solid ones, replaced the wipers, unclogged the jet nozzles, replaced the side repeater lens as they were no longer clear! Next up replace all four tyres and tracking! Anyone interested in knowing how the cup holder was fitted let me know (only one small drill hole in the metal frame below the dash)

The cup hold is from eBay:
https://rover.ebay.c...tm/133197086980

It holds a bottle like the one in the picture, not sure about takeaway coffee cups from costa, Caffè Nero etc! I have a reusable coffee flask.

I added the brackets they’re from B&Q!
