[JXC Mini GT]

I have had an irritating squeak/creak from the rear drivers side of the car for a while,  I suspected the SUSPENSION KNUCKLE JOINT NYLON CUP, so after a bit of a struggle getting the old one out and finding a dry joint, I fitted the new one and greased it up, took it for a test run and the squeak has gone

Did some gearbox rebuilding.

Finished off fitting new evolution cones all round and hi-lows after fitting bushes to upper and lower arms at the front , new tie bars, front and rear knuckles and front swivel joints , now just got to fit new cv boots ...! Bit cold to work outside this week though but at least it's been dry.

Not today but last Sunday, took the GT out for 1 last blast before the gritters came out. About 40 miles and ended up at the Veteran's Garage for a sausage butty where we stumbled upon a Bini meet, felt like we were behind enemy lines lol 

 

 

I just wished I'd cleaned it first, still full of crud from the brands hatch trip

Last nights storm shredded the cover on my Trikehome   Luckily the car is OK but spent a while duct taping the remnants of the cover together until a new one can be found.

Likewise, had a battering from the storms and my Mini restoration area, or the cannabis tent as everyone affectionately calls it, is no more. I now need to work out a Plan B!

Oh no, at least mine is almost useable after the duct tape repair. Quite luck as we had a bit of snow today.

Washed and dried it, took it for some fresh petrol and a good blast then fitted the temporary cover until I can find a replacement one for the Trikehome.
