Oh to note another cracked fuel pipe tank to supply... 3 in a row have only lasted a year.

Rear end refurb now finished, new hub bearings both sides, neg camber set , ARB brackets and bar in place, and still no sheared bolts, this 60 year old car just keeps giving, the flexible fuel hoses look a bit manky, so I'll replace them with a bit of Codan's finest.

No progress on the actual car today, but I ordered a heck load of new tools ready to restart on the restoration! 2027 season it is....!

Gave it a quick polish and firmed up the driver's seat back.

All ready for Sunday's London to Brighton Mini Run.

Swedish MOT today. No faults or advisories. Last MOT was 1997.

If they don“t change the rules this was the last time, cars over 50 years are MOT free.

Today, I replaced the serpentine belt and installed a KAD quick shifter on my 1999 JDM Mini. Fun times!

Top rear seat adjustments. First time out the garage since Himley. Roll on more runs with this crazy hot weather we are witnessing in the UK, if it lasts!

Check over after yesterday's fiasco. While on a quick run, the coolant hose popped off, losing all water and starting to overheat. Turns out a hose clip was split as well. News parts later all sorted. Didn't help a crash happened on the road as well, causing a backlog of traffic and then me pulled over to the side, lol!

Finished fitting twin HS4s to the 1100 clubman estate.  BP55 cam, 12G295 head flat top pistons and MG metro distributor.  Used the AM needles Specified by Downton for their 1100 performance kit back in 1964 (modified for swing needle) and it runs a treat.  Mixture is pretty near perfect and it pulls from 1500 rpm in 4th.

Gave it a hand polish before my daughters prom on Thursday. Also replaced the a panel seam strips as they had began to rust, and finally fitted the door weather strips that have been on the shelf for at least 3 years

Finished getting all the pieces together for a new top end except for the head which hopefully won't be too long.
