Thanks.
Needs some tlc though. Still need to get the A panel sorted. Hope to get a complete two piece metal removable front made up for it (using a van/pick up front so it will have the heritage grille) I want the removable front to be very subtle.

I also still need to sort my new wheels for it. I am fairly certain I am going to go for 10" Stealies. I got a few twists for the wheels in mind so it should look pretty neat on them. I think it should suit it. And I want to get it as low as possible!

I think I want to go for a dry sell battery.
Id like to put the battery right under the rear shelf below the bed, but cant do this with the normal battery for obvious reasons (would short out on the shell etc) I currently use the popular peugot 306TD battery, and would like similar cranking power.

Shall I invest in an Odyssey battery? that way I could put it on its side (protect it, perhaps a custom built case for it)
Whats the best one to go for? Odyssey PC545?

Wheres the best place to buy?

you can buy cages for the batterys just fine. Know a few people who just superglue some mudflap material (silicony, rubbery sheet stuff) ontop to protect the terminals

yeah i thought about that, but i have one of the 306 TD batterys so it wont go under at all. if i am going to replace it is might as well be with a gel batt?

Sonic needs a new front at one point so Im not to worried about ruining the heritage look of it. its getting the mk1 grille from my spi with the black grill surround, the 13x7 black wheels off my Mayfair (see below picture)

Am I the only one that noticed that the Mayfair had seemed to have exploded from the oil filter?! :)

I doubt it, but most people were there when it happened or know about it through the years. So its not really news
Its exploded from a huge whole in the gear box that I could get my foot in caused by a snapped con rod. Riv run (2007?) You remember that Dave?! ahh what a year!

thats what i meant :P you can buy fitted cages for the gel batterys

ahh got you now! Yeah will prob by some sort of cage and extended cables so I can push the battery as far back under the load bay as possible
