Door fallen off yet?
Not sure how such small brakes would cope with your fat ass though

Need me to give you another fat lip?! :)

I know a guy who will probably be selling some cooper S calipers soon, possibly the drive flanges aswell :D

Not really the way I wanted to go. If anything I would want 7.9" with fiesta Callipers, unless these wouldnt fit 10x7 cooper reverse rims either and I absolutely HAVE TO go down to 7.5. then I would be interested, for the right price. not got very deep pockets at the moment!

Alternatively, big wheel spacers and keep the 8.4's

Thats what I was thinking, would rather keep the 8.4s if possible. So people, would copper reverse rims banded to 7" fit with 8.4" brakes with say a 1" spacer?

Steels have a very small center and would need the really small brakes for them to fit. They wont fit over fiesta brakes as my mate who has them on his clubby tried for me. It is a pain in the ass.

With 1" spacers you might be able to fit them
I'll try it tomorrow and let you know the results

Humm with them being banded it may work. It would be really tight though.

ill throw my 2 pence in here, banding a set of 10 inch steel wont make any difference to what brakes they will or wont fit over as banding doesnt affect the offset, just the with.

if anyones got a 1 inch spacer ill have a go and let you know if itll make the 10inch steel fit over my fiesta brakes, let me know.

otherwise, its 7.5's or drums

Wasnt sure if the banding would give anything. But yeah, I can see how it wouldnt effect it at all.

I would be very interested in knowing about the Fiesta brakes, so thanks for that. (I take it there is NO CHANCE that they will go over 8.4" even with a 1" spacer?)

No mine are standard but banded wont make any difference unless you go for the inside to be widened. This is not the usual way to do this though
i didn't get chance to check the 8.4 with a spacer but should be able to check tomorrow
The fiesta brakes i have, steels will fit no troubles with a 3/4" spacer but not 3/8", may fit with a 1/2" but i don't have one. There seems plenty of room to allow for a 1/2", they are only just touching on the 3/8" Banding either side of the wheel will not be an issue with the fiesta brakes.
I will report back on how the 8.4" brakes work out tomorrow

Sweet! thanks for that.
Yeah I get that banding wont effect it now.
I got 1" spacers that someone gave me, but if I can get away with a smaller spacer then that would obviously be more ideal.

Standard 8.4" are my preference, then fiesta conversion then 7.5 if I really have to. (Now we know that the 7.9 Fiesta conversion works then I know that's now my "back up" option if the 8.4s wont work and I wont have to fork out for the 7.5s. I very much doubt that the 8.4s will work though. I am pretty sure most people say wellers with mods are the only 10s you can go for with 8.4" discs and even then you need a spacers and take a file to the calliper)

I have had a thought though.......... doesn't someone (Huddersfield mini spares?) make a 10" reverse replica that WILL fit over 8.4" discs?
Perhaps it would make sense for me to get a set of these and band them............?

No problems
They're actually an alloy so won't be as easy as steel to band. I've never welded alloy so would be a complete guess if its possible or safe to.
Any way later shall find out the steel.
What arches are you going to be using? 10x7 with maybe a 1" spacer you'll need 3" arches at least
I have minispares 7.5" 4 pot alloy calipers on my cooper, so i might just check those out too if i remember. I might even do some for it if they do go with a small (ish) spacer

Arches aren't a problem, I got group 5 euros (I know its slight sacralidge on a pick up, but I friken love em! I had them on my SPI also)

Yeah welding alloy isnt easy, so it would need to be done as a subtle split rim perhaps........ I didnt know they were alloy. Hmmm that could make it even more attractive. The alloy would obviously be lighter than the steal and I was curious about the unsrung weight of a 10x7 steal wheel. A 10x7 split rim alloy would be much more preferable!

So can the alloy reverse replicas still be bought? Ive found someone on here that says he has some that he is swopping/selling. Other than that where sells them new? Links etc?

the alloy replicas dont fit over the 8.4 brakes but actually sit to the side of the brakes, they have a HUGE offset. there on the mini wheel directory.

i dont know if there still available though.

you cant band alloys so they would have to be split rims and thats only if thay can be done, force do some split rims but only certain types can be converted, and its £££

like i said, id gladly try and fit a standard steel over my brakes with a spacer if i had one, but i would have thought that you would need to go to 7.5 inch disks
