Things To provide you pet must be well vetted first. AS Craig said about his Fish and Frogs.
Sand can have bad things in it even fresh grass can kill your pet.I would put some Fake Grass in on the bottom it is safe and warm.Maybe the odd plant in a pot and watch. Some use the Saw dust from pet shops.

Yeah, the sand i menat was stuff i saw at Pets at Home. This stuff.

And I cant find the wood chippings on the website but it was the same sort of size/colour etc as this stuff. It was in the reptile section and sadi the same as most of the bags of substrate. "Suitable for most Liziads".

Since i tried sand with my African Clawed Frog's i'd never use it again, although they are aquatic, the second we put them in the tank the first thing they did was start shoveling it into their mouth's like they'd never eaten before, and their 11 year's old, they have! :D

Happy birthday mate

Haha oh dear, poor things! Just found this. So for the time being I'll probably stick to news paper and a tile under the water/food dish. Wood chippings seem ok though. Just expensive.

And happy birthday to both of you :D

The links are good i have had a good look. That Sand would be safe and clean.Looks nice to in Viv.
It costs a lot and when you have to tidy up Toilet Fouls and replace it.
The safe Chippings can be found at most pet shops and look nice easy to tidy up Also.
The sand can also stick to them and make them itch causing them to damage themselves.
The fake Grass i was told to buy it does not look the best but they like it and easy to clean.
One of my spiders loved chippings sprayed with mist daily. :D

Well i went in a Local Pet shop on the way home after a GCSE (OMFG! :dontgetit:) and they have a couple in there that they're looking after. And they reccomened using Ouster shell. The stuff they sell is like £3 per 3k or something silly and its pure calcium so if the beardy eats it, its technically good for them. >_<

I'll go in tommorw with the EXACT amount i need other wise i'll come back with *melon* i dont need :genius: !

Good you have checked all the details for your pet.It is nice to have natural products in Viv. best.
The fake grass is healthy but i thought it looked a mess also with Snakes they do warm up on it to.
I like things out woundering when i am watching them.Any one know a good snake post dealer they travel well and safe. When young i did manage to bread Newts after a few years they all went back to nature and thats the law.The tank took some setting up outside but i was proud.

In Solihull Area over the years most small good shops have had to close down.Years ago in Tysley Birmingham one shop sold Monkeys. There is a good one on the Radleys island near Solihull Ice Rink.
One Shop used to even sell the funny Bright Green frogs with gold eyes so pretty you just have to damp down and pick them up.Trouble is there skin protection is like LSD.Great.
They even sold them giant Snails with more germs than a hospital.HA :proud:
