The beardy baby aint going to be cheap - £65, and im get what im given basically. (From the pet shop) I spoke to the person selling sexed babys for £25 and they've just sold the last of the older ones and theres non for sale for another 4 - 5 weeks.

Ahh well..

shame you live so far, for less than £65 i could probably have one sent via live stock post

lol i can imagine, i got jesse for £39 from the pet shop in town, the place i use now has breeding facilities all year round so they can sell them well cheap.

just looked at couriers for live animals lol, if i sent one in a shoe box it looks like itd cost around a tenner to post.

Sounds good money wise but isnt really fair on the animal though.

i thought that, i thought it would be mega bucks to stop people doing it as much

i wouldnt want to send one through the post, i wouldnt be able to trust that he would make it there safely

Being a corporate type place i wouldn't of though they'd of done live pets. (Other than Rabbits etc) I'll pop in on the way home tommorw after i top up zee bank account.... And then empty it again !

hmmm, make sure they have their tanks set up properly before you buy one, when i went into the one near me, they were trying to feed babies massive crickets and locusts. which they clearly couldnt eat. and the UV lights were above a sheet of glass (glass doesnt let UV rays through) this can lead to problems with them later in life. it sounds bad but if they have some that have just come in, then you would be better off with one of them

Not even sure if my local one has them in, cant say i go in there very often. If not i'll speak to the lady at the pet shop Monday or Tuesday, so i'll have a stinky scaly friend by next Friday

i got the croc skull from a local place, i think it cost me about £45 at the time. havnt seen one since

i think buying small is the way to go, you cant alway guarantee their health as they dont show any signs of parasites or anything. with beardies its not so bad, but chameleons and things are little swines for it!

at least when small you can train them a bit, and they will naturally have a good temprament

quick tip- when feeding crickets its easier to put them in the fridge for a bit first as they will go dosile. either that or do what i did and give them a right good shake before opening the tub (open inside the tank obv) they will be temporarily stunned. try not to give the beardie anything that is longer than the width of his head as they can choke
