Well i would say the swift conversion, get the engine from the scrappy you will need to modify the front mini sub, and add mega squirt or something similar but im not doin this so im not upto date on the full specs. ed4ran is thinking of doing it and he's just joined the 16v forum so have a look there!

if it was my money, i would go for a 1293 turbo, just so i can say tomy mates "i have a turbo" lol, and i have seen lots of 1293'd pushing lots or torque and bhp, but with reliability!

so whats the easiest way and cheapest to get to 0-60 7 seconds???

Push it off a cliff or nitrous oxide! If you build a mild road 1293, phase 2 cam, decent pistons and inject 30bhp worth of N20, use a 2.9:1 diff, you'll be there.

Morspeed are getting my money for the next engine. Really top blokes.

I love the idea of a turbo on the A Seires. Im only sticking to the N/a option as I want a much more roudy car When you compare reliability from a turbo'd motor to a n/a motor producing the same power, the turbo has obviously got to be more reliable has its high revs that kill engines. Although I havent YET built a turbo motor, as long as the right parts are fitted and work well with each other, there shouldnt be a reliability issue other than accesive wear on the bearings. Im going for about 150 to 160 bhp using a bit of nitrous and a 7 Port head but I know its never going to be as reliable as a turbo

im buildin a turbo, as its my everyday car and i want it to be reliable and nice to drive. also, if you build it well, you can increase power by puttin the boost up.

But thats why they go bang. People build them and then decide to turn the boost up after. Id build it to take a certain amount of power and not go over it. If I did, I wouldnt expect it to last very long

what i meant is build it strong and with a low cr, then u can run low boost, then turn it up when you want it.

If you are def going to use forced induction or nitrous, phase 2 avonbar cam, if not sure, SW5 as it will do as fab road cam and good with forced induction. My 2p anyway.

Personally, I would build then engine for purpose, if you want a Normally aspirated engine then build one specifically for that. If you want forced induction build on for that... dont try and build one and then change purpose as you'll never get the best in either situation, it will always be a compromise.

Another 2p's worth :cheese:

Thats 4p worth of good information:) Get your moneys worth here dont you?! :w00t: Phase 2 cam makes a very good economy cam due to the extra ex timing so may be good anyway. Will be testing out this sometime in the mag. I kind of agree though. Can't go wrong with SW5, made as fast road cam.
