What a great day out, looking forward to next years mitp already, aim to get my mini ready by then (touches wood).

I was abit gutted by the diversion because my satnav on the way to the pod took me past a street sign reading ''BELL END'' , really wanted a picture but nevermind.

Got the majority of the panles I needed and managed to slice my hands on those panels quite a few times carrying them back to the car, lol.

The jet car and podzilla make my ears hurt, lol

Haha, yeah, that's in Wollaston!
I think there's a facebook group for it!

Speaking of which, I tagged myself in some of your photo's Mini_Jon.
Although there's one, with me in it with a beer, standing at my car, that I didn't know you had taken, I must have been very oblivious!

well, had a really good weekend, seen a load of familiar cars and the tmf stand (although when I was there all it needed was a tumbleweed blowing past lol). think the marshals & the organizers did a great job this year to make it a really enjoyable show.

Hey! You got a pic of Splinters Mini Club. Hope there was a good reason you took that. I think I remember someone from your direction shouting over towards us. Hope we didn't upset anyone :P

We had a great time despite having to put the tents up during the thunder storm. Once the rain has stopped we fired up the BBQ and cracked open the beers and had big laughs. The fun continued onto the Sunday too with the BBQ fired up again and my daughter shouting out to passers-by "free popcorn, free cakes" and being generally ignored by most. A lot of the passing kids took up her offer and munched away very happily.

I did walk over to the TMF stand but it was pretty much deserted and I didn't recognise any of the cars.

Roll on the next show.

Shame the staff just stuck up the flags and wandered off....

Im apalled to see this sort of comment , did you offer to help book the stand and make the phonecalls, did you organise the tickets to be sent to the people on the list, did you cart TMF stand equipment back and forth across the country???

The TMF Events section work very hard to ensure that TMF have a presence at most shows ,and envite members to participate on TMF stands , all done I may add IN THEIR OWN TIME , and for the most part no thanks is offered.

Charlotte has been working hard along with becs recently to ensure the above is met and organised.
When she arrived at the venue the stand participants had already left leaving her to set up along with a few others.

PM sent

First off I wasn't on the TMF stand we hadour own clubstand but I feel I must agree with the above it takes a hell of a lot of work organising clubstands sorting tickets and when you get the attitude like to post this reply was to it makes you wonder if its all worth it. The same as if we decide not to go to a show at the last minute becuase of the weather then its a taken by the club managmnet in the intersts of the club. It seems that people always think they can do a better job but when it comes to helping out they always seem to have something else to do.

On the subject of MITP I was really dissapointed and am sad to say it was my last MITP it's not the same at Santa Pod as at Cornbury I know from talking to people others feel the same which is a real shame as fro me it used to be the BEST static show of the year :)

lol, don't worry just general camping pics, you didn't disturb us or anything. but have to admit we were standing under our gazebo watching everybody putting their tents up in the storm lol. I can't really say there was any trouble on the campsite this year (that we heard of anyway)

It was a great weekend, not even the monsoon dampened peoples spirits.
Met loads of TMFers, some i already knew.. some i didnt. We had quite a few coming over on saturday night introducing themselves
(we had a police cordon around our camp :))

We had some great minis on the TMF stand.. well done all concerned.

Nice to see people taking pics of my Babooshka

Thanks... Lee

everyone always moans that the shows moved, but there really more than fair share of static shows, just last weekend there was SMD. I go to lots of shows and you get bored if you are just doing the same thing week in week out...and before you say it, yes it is my choice to go to these shows but i also have lots of friends through minis and we all meet at the shows.

places like MITP its good to have some other stuff to keep you entertained, last year i was racing and it was fun, i unfortunatly couldnt this year. but its still good to watch the racing.
i find myself at alot of shows where i sometimes almost not bothering to even walk about and look at the shows rather just sit on the stand, have some food and talk to friends...thats more of a draw than the same old minis at the same old shows
