Well..., The head came from Turbo-Phil this evening, well chuffed with it, looks great, Cheers Phil! 36x31 and 19cc chambers, Anyway heres some pictures of it ,













Just waiting on the spacers from MiniSpares for the rockers, really want to get it running by the weekend, really miss driving the mini . Also got some Streetfighter alloy skinned doors + 2piece polycarb windows on order as the doors on at the moment are rotting out and a dent on the drivers door (reminder - don't reverse out workshop with the door open! ), and also the rear quaters and rear screen in polycarb thanks to turbominis group buy, should save a hefty bit of weight, especially in the wallet!

I don't really mind rubber bumpers too much, maybe a nice yellow with deckchair trim and a full length webasto?

Just trying to get it running half decent so i can drive it, just down to the carb and what needle it needs for initial setup, ill try and get a vid tomorrow if it sounds okay lol.

Got it running good today with the new BDR needle, picks up alot better than the BBC and the mixture screw isnt all the way in now! Took it home tonight and goes really well past 3.5k (REMINDER TO PETE - RUNNING IN STILL), theres a slight blip though getting there but thats just the needle needs to be fine tuned on the RR still, I didnt expect it to be such a dog though even with the 3.9FD, you need to keep the revs up to get it anywhere! when i had the 998 with sw10 cam, that is soo tame prepared to a 296, you can feel the power kick in very harshly prepared to a sw10 even though it was in a 998!. the sound is just porn though, sounds like a little V8 with the cam, you can hardly hear the straight cut box over the engine noise . Ill try and get a in car video of it tomorrow.

Although its a bit of a dog around town, im sure ill get used to it just need to use the gears abit more, and fill up at petrol stations more often too! . But very happy with it so far, just hope it behaves itself.

Opps! totally forgot, i will try and get a little video of it tonight on my phone with my mate,

Bit worried now though... the oil pressure has now gone down to 25 at idle when hot, but reaches 50 when driving, would you say this is okay?
