im renting a garage off one of my nans friends, to play with the mini in and build engines etc. at the moment ive got my friends integra in there, that were rebuilding after he smacked it on a trackday/

on monday we were painting the repaired front, and as i have no electricity in the garage i have to use a generator, so i had the generator and compressor going, everything going fine, then i just about heard someone banging on the door, so stopped spraying and opened the door, to see an old boy from a house down the road, he asked if i could keep the noise down, i explained to him the generator and pump would be getting switched off soon as i was nearly finished, he huffed and puffed and started moaning, so i just left him to it and carried on spraying.

anyway went to the garage on the way to work tuesday to get some bits i wanted to take for powder coating, to find the garage flooded, about 2" deep water! i couldnt understand it, it hadnt been raining the night before! so i just mopped it up, took ages and made me late for work.

went ot the garage today to make a start on flatting the paint back, to find it flooded AGAIN! as i was mopping it all out, the old boy came over and said to me "your not so noisy now are you".

so what should i do? i know plenty of things id like to do, but dont want to lose the garage....

I am assuming that u think he has flooded it.

But are you sure that its not the rain as u first thought and he is not just gloating?

Not nice of him I know...... but if it isnt him..... the noise will be enuf to get ur own back.....lol

:)

PS.... if it is him you need to get some evidence....mobile phone footage or witnesses etc......

Because it is criminal damage

its definately not rain, too much water and it hadnt rained the night before, never flooded when its rained before either, so definately sure its him. i was sat outside the garage earlier witha pot of superglue in my hand (no i werent sniffing it, lol) looking at his car locks, but really dont want to lose the garage.

Have a Club session outside his house, loads of minis with nice big exhausts and a few base tubes should cheer him up.
Must be easy to catch him doing it and then shove the hose up his a*** and give him a free enema !

i dont think hell like it much when we get the engine back in the integra, weve still got to find out why the vtecs not coming on, so revs will be involved, hopefully vtec revs :) thatll pee him off!

the owner of the garage and everyone else on the road are all coffin dodgers, but none of them mind me making noise, provided its a sensible time. in fact most of the old guys come over for a chat occasionally, and ive been given a few paid jobs as well.

Dont get me wrong.....its easy for me to sit here and dish out rational advice.......but I know if it was me I would batter him lol.....and I would end up in trouble...........It will definatly get out of hand now if he is prepared to do that......just dont do anything saft (or that can be proven ) as u really want to come out of this with the upper hand....

flood his house :) hosepipe in the letterbox

And spray foam all the doors and windows shut, then see how funny it is.

I’m sure he won’t find it that funny when he soon has a bill for the water damaged stuff that was in the garage, as well as his water bill.

Sorry to say but u gonna have to catch him and report him if u want to keep the garage. may even be worth sending him an official looking letter. the police may even do it or warn him for u if u have any proof.

Make some noise again working on the cars, leave and then pop back (in a different car if poss) but camera in hand and catch the old fart in the act. As I’m guessing to fill a garage with 2” of water isn’t a 10min job.

That's it things will escalate once you start retaliating, you should maybe talk to him first and try and come to some arrangement/explain that noise will be made but if it's only at reasonable times there shouldn't be a problem!!!

If he continues being a banker then all you can do is treat him to a dose of his own medicine but be careful not to do anything that can be traced back to you because you do need the upper hand and come out on top!!!

Stick up a fake cctv camera(or even a real camera, theres gotta be some cheap ones on ebay)

Make a point of drawing his attention to it and how its been fitted on police advice after the vandalisam. Also tell him the policeman you spoke is a motorsport fan/car enthusisast and has taken a personal interest in the case.

That should stop him in his tracks.
