It may even be worth talking to the "coffin dodgers" lol as u say..... and asking them to keep an eye out. u know how some of these love a bit of curtain twitching and it will help keep them on side.

Stick up a fake cctv camera(or even a real camera, theres gotta be some cheap ones on ebay)

Make a point of drawing his attention to it and how its been fitted on police advice after the vandalisam. Also tell him the policeman you spoke is a motorsport fan/car enthusisast and has taken a personal interest in the case.

That should stop him in his tracks.

at the moment theres still a fair amont of water in the garage, so ill leave it there as evidence, and take a trip to the police station, hopefully theyll come to the garage to investigate, and he'll see them there. although its really not the way i normally sort things out, ive got to, i dont want to lose the garage.

But then it’s so much nicer with the satisfaction of when they pop over to speak to him, that he’s the old fart causing all the trouble and wasting police time, money etc for basically being a dick.

I court the old fart that’s been ranting at me recently wheel spinning his Volvo estate down the street, it might only be a phone video. But it might not look too good the next time he starts ranting and has to explain that along with the 2 illegal (balder than he is) tyres along with the failed front headlamp and rear brake lights.

I had a friend who had a similar problem with some local yobs who kept on spraying graffiti on the door of his garrage. He told the police and they sent a fingerprint person down to see if they could get any evidence. Really CSI style all with their white overalls and blue gloves apparently.

They found a few fingerprints and they matched the ones of a couple of the local pikeys who'd also been done before for some petty crime or other. Got them nicked - problem solved.

That only worked though because these pikeys had already been nicked and were on the database. Some old codger who's being a pain in the arse probably wont be on there, so i don't know how they'd pin it on him even if they found anything...

Maplins do surveilance equipment for relatively cheap, but if you want to catch him in the act, hook up a infra red webcam on the top of the garrage and leave it attached to a laptop for a night (obviously hook the laptop up to a battery or something so it doesnt run flat after a couple of hours). See what that comes up with?

I reckon you should get a cheap fake camera and then put a sign up saying protected by CCTV, would be cheap and would probably work too. Thats just my 2p worth

well it's obvious you've ******* him off, so why not just go over and have a word with the old boy? Apologise for being noisy and agree to when is/isn't acceptable to make a row. at the end of the day you're the only one with a garage to lose so why should he give a *******?

If you have that amount of water in the garage and its not draining away i would be looking at a burst underground pipe not a senior gentleman with a hose pipe.
Is there no guilt on your side, remember you had a genny running and a compressor, does he have no cause to complain about the noise?

Have a Club session outside his house, loads of minis with nice big exhausts and a few base tubes should cheer him up.
Must be easy to catch him doing it and then shove the hose up his a*** and give him a free enema !
