I've also got the rear half of a mini that I bought to make a trailer that I've decided to get rid of!
I didn't really think it through and if I build a trailer I'll have nowhere to store it

It's coming on well!
Getting the bearings out of the top arms isn't coming on well!

They can be tinkers. I made a puller using a penny washer cut in three, put a smaller washer behind and a piece of all thread through and hey presto. Getting the three bits to sit nicely is a pain, but a bit of grease holds them behind the bearing and a bit of heat on the outside helps as wellIt's coming on well!

That is a pig of a job, I welded a washer to the outer surface of the bearing with the needle rollers removed and used a hammer and punch to drive it out. I do like the sound of Clives idea! May have to make one myself.

I need to find the join between the bearing and the body of the arm!
I'll have another go tomorrow!

The inside of the arm has a central parallel part and a taper at each end which leads to the bearing position. That is what makes it impossible to get a drift in, but the back of the bearing allows the bits of washers to sit on it. Its a fiddle fart of a job but works well. Do it in three bits not two as you can't get the halves in position. That is a pig of a job, I welded a washer to the outer surface of the bearing with the needle rollers removed and used a hammer and punch to drive it out.
