looking good buddy :)
Looking very good Carlos
Thank you both!
I really want to crack on with it and get it done! I'm a bit bored of filling and sanding, and although I'm getting better at it I still seem to put too much on, and I don't want to have any unused filler

If i can manage to and you are still doing the filler work when i am down, i could always pop round and give you a hand.
I don't mind doing filler work at all!

You're more than welcome to come and do some filling!
Hopefully there wont be much to do by then though

Today hasn't gone to plan!
I did some filling last night hoping to come down today and make it all lovely.
But the filler hasn't gone off, it's harder than it was when I applied it, but it wont sand.
I'm hoping if I leave it a couple of days it'll go hard and all will be well
So, I've filled a couple of little bits where the door steps were welded on and ground back, just to make it beautiful!
And I also put this on the car, just for fun!
It's just balanced on there!

In other news, I've forgotten about the bracket that goes on the boot floor to mount the tank!
So I'll have to find one of those!

Coming on fast now mate, how long before the paint shop?
I dunno when I can get in there next, possibly next Thursday!
I'll only need another few days and the filling will be done!
Then I need to
strip and etch prime the front floor pans and boot floor
Put reinforcements in for toe board
Sort a couple of bits on scuttle lip
Strip rear floor and seat base
Underseal and paint underneath
Take it off the spit
Paint
Rebuild
Drive

Finished next week then?
I should be able to get a day at it next week, and 2 days the week after!
That should go a long way towards getting the filler done!
I've got some time off in March, and could have it ready to paint by easter, I just need to make a decision as to whether to give it a go myself or not!

Go for it, what's the worst that could happen?
It could look rubbish, then I'll have to rub it all back off and pay someone to do it!

But think of all the fun you would have, but seriously, looking at the standard of work so far I doubt you would struggle mate. It's all in the prep (which is why I am rubbish at it).Go for it, what's the worst that could happen?
