I have just had a small paint related disaster and now a quantity of the paint is on the garage floor

Not on the bottom mate, I think it'd make it too brittle. I think the stone chip is meant to keep its flexibility.

I need to paint the under side of the scuttle before it comes off the spit just for ease.

Yeah! Although its really hard to get an idea of what the colur is going to look like through the texture of the stone chip

Me neither, but I'm back to work today for 6 days so the mini wont get touched.

Then the plan for my next days off us to strip and paint the inside of the roof, and strip and paint the underside of the scuttle. Both these jobs will be much easier with the car on the spit.

Then my days off after that the car will be going from a spit onto a pallet so I can paint the engine bay and inside the boot.

I've also bought this, it was a hospital lift for getting people in and out of beds, baths etc.

 

All the hydraulics work as it should, the chrome isn't pretty, but I want functional not pretty.
