Looking nice mate. Will it be ready for IMM do you think?
Don't think so Clive, I have got a week off at the beginning of July though!

Massive day yesterday in terms of progress
THE MINI IS OFF THE SPIT
I've cleaned and primered the engine bay and we had some fun trial fitting the boot
Had a little windfall so a big Minispares order is coming.
More next week!
Looking good but I am amazed you managed to avoid the rain Saturday!
I wanted to get the engine bay painted today, but I need to sort the bonnet mounting points for securing the fibreglass bonnet first

Had a visit from Ben today, he gave me some good advice, and I managed to get him sanding filler where the door step was fitted.
We had a look at the boot, and it's currently in the too difficult pile.
The rear panel is original, although there is evidence of previous crash repairs, I really need a boot seal to see where the boot will actually sit.
Other than that I've just been fettling here and there, looking at the fitting of the bonnet which appears to need half the rear lip removed as it has a funny angle to it. Maybe it's something to do with the mould?
Anyway, hopefully I'll get back in there Monday or Tuesday and get the door steps all smooth

Well, it's erm.....
Purple
The engine bay is painted, there are a couple of runs on the o/s inner wing, but I'll flat these back and polish them up.
I won't need to go too far as one will be hidden under the screen wash bottle, and the other under the fresh air vent.
My Minispares delivery arrived today so I can get the upper shock mounts into primer for next time I have paint in the gun.
Front subframe building will be occurring soon
