Not on my thread. It'll turn the milk in my coffee sour.

Just for you Clive, ill PM you a pic. But ill warn you, you can't un-see it so let me know if you want to see first. I sent one to Carlos and he had to remove it because it was offending him.

After a lot of hard work and effort I've decided not to try and get the car painted this week.
Unfortunately a few reactions in the primer, and then the knifing putty reacting with the primer has delayed things to the point we've run out of time.
I'm hoping that Ben and I can get it done when he's over next, but that will depend on weather.
In the mean time I've got lots of bits to do which will make the final finish so much better.
I'll get some more pictures up soon

I cant remember what brand the stopper is but it's a pale pink colour and is in a white tube
I have never seen anything like it, it went on nice but once dry, you begin flatting it and it rubs and peels and has softened the primer beneath causing massive headaches trying to flat down the rough edges.
We did want to paint it as Carl said but there is still too many little jobs that add up to 2-3 days work and neither of us have the time at the moment.

Are you using 2k? And what brand stopper were you going so I no to avoid it lol. If your painting outside it needs to be soon autumn is coming!!
It's celly Darren, and painting is going to be very weather dependent as it'll be done in a gazebo.
Once it's in the garage after painting I don't mind having the heater on to help it dry but it'll all be about the amount of moisture in the air.
The other issue is, I'm not sure I want it in primer all winter

The other problem though Carl is we can't even apply the paint in mildly damp weather because it will cause blooming and all sorts of other issues.
I have been thinking though. We could always clear out the garage, line it, heat it and then paint one section at a time.
Mask up and paint the roof, then mask up and paint the nose then say the step and quarter one side and then the other etc and so on.
It will take longer but it would mean it could be painted in the garage with a heater on.
It's just what to do with everything. unless you clear the bench and stack everything up on there and cover with a tarp or something. But then we would need the window open so i don't know
Perhaps we should have pressed on and tried to get it done...
Like i said, if it was easy enough to get it to mine, i'd finish the prep and paint it there.
damn

I clear all the stuff out the under stairs cupboard, subframes on the car, 10 inch steels on the car etc etc.
Then the boxes that are in front of the bench can go in there, I reckon we could easily make enough space.
I'll sort it before you come back

Lets do that then. At least we won't have to worry so much about the compressor as we will only need enough puff to do one panel at a time

It's decided.
I'll get all the stuff out the way
