Once those screw holes and seam voids are filled up, they will be supreme.

Ben

Absolutely, they aren't quite right along the front edge of the rear arch.

Actually, let's re-word that, the front edge of the rear arch isn't quite perfect so the arches need a tiny modification

It's great isn't it! I really couldn't have done it without Chris and Ben.

I'm hoping to get it into paint in the next few weeks

A day of finishing off little bits and pieces today, and then this

All masked up and ready for primer.

The lines are all lovely, but I'm really looking forward to seeing it all in one colour, even if it is primer grey.

Just got to hope for good weather next week so we can get the gazebo up and get it primed

Brilliant build! And congrats on the birth of your daughter! I know im probably teaching you and other people how to suck eggs now but, when you were at the point where you had to weld up the wiper holes and you had a bit of aggro, a bloke who learnt me how to fabricate when I was younger gave me a tip.. if its light gauge plate that your trying to line up and you cant hold it clamp it or get a pair of grips on it, break a magnet off the back of a small speaker (tweeter, 2inch dia or something) and half and half it, in this case halfway on the piece of steel your trying to weld in first and then to the body, tack it and done works with foot wells to providing you got bigger magnets (off a 6x9 or something) you dont get so many spottles round the weld either because the magnet draws them away.. but if people already know this tell me and I'll get back in me cage lol

Thanks very much for your comments people.

I've had a lot of help from someone I only met due to this forum.

Cheers Ben, you've really brought life back to my project!

Interesting day today.

I got a gazebo from a mate for free, it buckled in a storm and he said I could have it if I collected it. It took Ben and I over an hour to put up with cable ties and gaffa tape.

Then we decided to use the engine crane to make sure it stayed up

There was a few problems with the paint going on dry, and there are a couple of areas which have reacted, but we're going to sort them on Wednesday when the paint has gone hard

and here it is sunbathing with it's guide coat.

Unfortunately the gazebo is no longer usable, so we need to find something else to top coat it in
