It looks a million times better.

Definitely worth the time.

How’s the rest of the list?

yep because we didn't paint the shuts last time when the outside was done.

I think we were kinda expecting a half reasonable match

Last few bits sorted on the shell

I have been chasing my tail a bit finding and sorting small imperfections in the body so have decided the next step is primer and then this will show up any more bits and I can sort them out.

Into the booth for a bit of a mask up

Would love to know your method for priming a shell in this sort of state. Not really sure where to start with mine after all the welding is done...

It's only primer so you can prime the whole thing in one go if you want. It's not crucial to get the finish 100% clean as it will all be flatted anyway.

in this case, I have masked the engine bay to protect the engine and the boot as that is not being painted.

The inside of the car is only having the visible parts top coated so I can prime those at the same time as the outside. Once the inside parts have been flatted, I can control my top coat to cover any primer overspray whilst leaving the already painted inside pretty much untouched.

This Mini is going to be trimmed when it leaves me and all the floors etc will be covered so the finish on those is not important
