Who did the head work? From what I've heard split webers are overated, there was a weber 45'd 998 mini in miniworld a while ago that made atleast 80bhp at the wheels

and what pistons do you have atm, 73.5mm if they're not crap ones will be fine, techically you have another 2 rebores but most only go to 74mm, personally I wouldn't go past 73.5mm as it's cheaper to change the block than the pistons atm lol. I assume your's was ofset bored.

yeah my 1380 was of set bored with omega pistons put in, as im guessing thats what your on about, the engine block is currently sat on my work bench gathering dust as i wont be using it again, i want a smaller bore and a wilder cam, as with running a 1380 ive found they run hotter, and with putting a wilder cam in i dont want to run down the line of having probllems cooling it.

so the 1380 block with pistons and conrods and a 276 kent cam is for sale

and i dont know who done the head work, i purchessed it of a mate, who had been using it but need to sell it to raise some more money to repair his car, but it ran really well in his mini

only thing im not sure on is conrods, i like the look of the arrowhead but i dont know what to go for, as teh car will manily be used at weekends when i go home or when traverling to shows, im not really planning on using it for a quick dash to the shops.

any one got any ideas what rods to use?

well im runnign out of time to get this engine built and runnign and see as no one has bought my 1380 block im just gonna risk running the 649 cam in it, and re use the block, so ive ordered my 11 stud head kit, and begging of febuary when im back home im gonna start building the block back up and get it sat back on the gearbox, im just gonna renew core plugs and bearings, nothin wrong with the piston rings or the pistons so ill keep them in the block.

and then when i get a bit more money ill build a 1293.

also decided im just gonna run the bottom end in on a standard head with hiff 44, and then once the bottom end has been run in ill put my new cylinder head on and the webers

but the stage 5 head that i had is still for sale as im not going to be using it

Right I've been thinking of running a megajolt system instead of a dizzy.
What things do I need to get my hands on?
