right ive had some issues.

fitted my center clocks yesterday drove home no fuel guage or water guage, turned out to be no live feed to the voltage staberliser on the center clock so thatw as an easy fix, plus i had a wire mixed up, (my bad)

so now i have fuel guage and water temp, but now my side lights and dash lights dont work. im getting pritty sick of these electrics, so looks like ill be spending tomorrow sorting electrics again.

oh forgot to mention some one has stoe my passenger wing mirror. just the one, and they have obviously unscrewed it buit have left the base plate on the car, and yes it was secure, this has realy annoyed me, i cant of been nocked of as passenger door is still perfect.


so it means some one in the mini comunity round truro is a theif!

I cant believe the luck your having just now Danny..I think after all thats been happening to you recently I would be throwing in the towel as well..But before you do..take a step back and leave it alone for a couple of weeks..maybe things will turn your way after a wee break..Again....really sorry to hear of your troubles.

Good news, bad news gear box is ok cylinder head ******* and no 3 piston is smashed and smashed valves, 998 is back in and running :/

my luck has changed :)


dads just told me hes got me a mini metro

complete car for £500

the best bit is its got a 1275 engine fitted, and since new its had, 1 owner, me now being the 2nd, and the engine has done a tottal of 8000 miles :)

well finaily back from my time at sea, havnt been home yet, but i plan on going back this comign weekend and cracking on with the mini straight away, got parts ordered, so i can redo brakes and sort cooling issue out. so im looking forward for a bit of fun fixing the mini up this weekend, will keep you updated with pics and the fun i have :)

thats very true, popped home today quickly as i dont live far away from the base to find a nice new exhaust system :)

got myself a miglia exhaust, so im quite happy that i should get a nice sound and power figure when i get the engine back in

so im lookign forward to some nice mini time :)

yay got engine in and she runs, exhaust was the hardest part such a bugger to fit, had to get my favorite 4lb lump hammer out and amend my exhaust tunnel, was fun.

but shes up and running and its all hung and sorted :)


slight issue im gonna post in the technical section.

now she runs and sounds alright, but when driving its not pulling very well, and if you try to speed up it back fires,

now im sure its possibly timming, and a fueling issue, ive changed the plugs

anyone else thing of anything


im loving the straight cut box again such a good sound and the miglia box is a nice sound

im enjoying working on the car again just got to start runnign cables inside the car now and getting things conected up :)

Good news youve finaly got it running! look forward to pics and hopfully a video or 2.

Does sound like it could possibly be timing/fuel related if you arent getting power, but idles fine. sure a quick RR set up should see you right. If you have access to a timing light, id start there.

yeah im gonna use my timing light tomorrow and my emission thingy as well so set it up as best i can and then head for a rolling road when im in plymouth :)

yeah gonna get lots of pics and ill get a video as im driving to my work shop tomorrow of how bad it is and then one once ive fixed it :)

missing part i need for my exhaust system, as i have a special made freeflow exhaust from maniflow, top guys there will make what ever you need

well ive got an issue been running the mini a couple of days, and because the exhaust is sitting high in the tunnle its hitting the gear linkage, so it pushed it at a funny angle, which means 2nd and 4th it pops out of sometimes.

although placed an order to help me with this probllem :)
