well last night i started my journey back to plymouth for work, tuch me 20 mins and my journey was over.

car infront of me braked hard sunddenly so i did the same to stop myself going into the back of it only i did it on gravle, so my car decided to start turnign sideways, with me ending up on its side,

luckly my roll cage and seat kept me safe, and kept rigid in the car, and from the looks of it, theres not alot of damage, although i need a new door, and car needs to go back to body shop as gutter rail has bent in and has no paint on it, and rear seam strip is smashed as well as my arches

right well ive got divisions tomorrow, but ive booked in for a 4 day long weekend with it being a bank holiday ;) so should get some serious work done on my mini this weekend,

first job get it running again, secound job is to sort the door out as ive got a feeling its gonna leak like a normal mini engine.

spoke to teh guy that sprayed it and he said he can tuch up the bits were the paint has come off, but car is now officaly goign to be a weekend warrior, so ive got a pair of full carbon doors turning up and im goign to be putting her on a deit, seen as im gonna be spending most of the next 3 years here there and every were, pics to come this weekend

peace out hommies

Right I officially hate kad, there internal gear linkage has been a pain in the front bum to fit, it's in and working except I'm using my older gear stick as the kad one doesn't work, I can get 1 st, 2nd and reverse, 3rd and 4th just don't want to engage, such a pain I'll upload pics in a bit once ive showered and eaten

The internal linkages, be it KAD or home made seem to be a huge hassle for changing across the gate.
Sure if you phone them, they would be able to give you advice? friends problems were in the adjustment and free-play at the gearbox end

Ensure the bit that the roll-pins go through (the connector between linkage and gearbox linkage input) is all tight and not worn

oh yeah, ad give you brand new bits for every thing, and some bits were a struggle to fit as they were so tight, so its not lose any were which is good, it just takes so fine adjustment is all, and im struggling to get it all working :/

previous owner used alot of selant which is a pain to get off :/ and they need a few repairs so gonna have to get high when i play with fiber glass again lol

oh this is my big bore cylinder head, its has 28cc chambers which are massive, good for a turbo but not for what i need, so gonna have to get the head skimmed a bit i think, but still its gonna be a gooden ;)

Great thread man, shame you have to sell but you are right, you do need something more reliable if you are thinking about making that journey every weekend.

Ohh and have fun in Faslamabad ;)
