why on EARTH have you got "BUM" in your laptop
HAHA no reason other then I like sticking random crap all over my laptop and that was pretty much the only word I could make with the few letters I had left. Your not the first person to spot that lol.

I gave the rad cowling a coat of lacquer the other night and its come out really well. Looks brand new.
I'v also wire brushed more of the bulk head.
and I have started to clean up one of the hubs ready for paint.
I wanted to get a few bits painted today but ran out of time as I'v been called in to work. I'll try and get more done over the weekend.
Thanks.

looks good!, i was following your last thread, whats the reason for the engine out may i ask (havent read everything... i like pictures )
The gearbox went bang so its out to have a paint and a new box fitted to it. Its also a good chance to get rid of as much rust as possible and make it look a bit nicer.
Thanks for the comment.

I take back what I said at MITP about you not doing anything to your car.

Cheers mate. I wish I had your engine removing skills though lol. Took me bladdy ages to do. I think I could do it a bit quicker a second time round though now I know what I'm doing.
I did a bit today I removed all the brake lines from the subframe and the hoses that go from the subframe in to the back on the brakes. I also got one of the drive shafts out. My job for 2moz is get the other drive shaft off. Remove subframe and remove steering rack. Then to carry on wiring brushing everything I can get at.
I didnt get any pics though. I'll get some 2moz if I remember.

Hopefully itll get somewhere this time eh jon?
What you on about Trist? I'm still stripping it at the moment. I'm thinking of just taking it back to a bare shell and giving her the proper resto she deserves. I'm looking at other minis at the moment so may buy another to use while I do this one then sell it after. All this time its been broken I'v still being paying insurance and its still taxed which is such a waste of money.
EDIT:
O yea and I got a pic in the day light of how my car currently looks.

Cheers mate. Yea that side come up really well. The other sides not so good though. Its got quite a bit of rust. I'll wire brush it back and paint it up. I think I'll end up doing the rear one at the same time.
