NO, not that first time..........
I mean the first time you bought a car yourself, so what was the first car you bought for yourself and what are you driving now?
Have you risen through the ranks from banger to Bentley or (like me) are you still driving much the same thing?
My first car, bought when I was 17 with money from 2 part time jobs while I ws at college, 850cc of performance motoring 8-)
(would love to buy it back if it still exists)
25 years later I've got this.........
Not a huge leap forward in 25 years of driving
these were the first and most recent Mini's (not planning on ever parting with the black one) - there have been about 10 others over the years plus 8 Beetles, 6 VW Campers, some GTi's, a couple of Porsches, some Alfa's a few Capri's and some mundane stuff - over 100 in total since 1983 !!

But I did have one of these before her (given to me by a friend) to learn in. His name was Giuseppe. Someone torched him outside our house.

Bought the Mini before I passed my test, drove it for a couple of years, then bought teh following..
1995 Peugeot 306 Cabriolet
1996 Volvo 850 T5 Auto saloon (loved that car)
2001 Audi A6
1999 Honda Accord Type R
2005 Audi A4 Avant 2.0TFSI S-line
1999 Maserati 3200GT Auto
1998 Escort GTi (winter runner)
2003 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8
All that time, I still owned the Mini too. Not a bad list considering I'm only 26.

My current car is a 1991 Mini City in diamond white (with added mold and rust) which was purchased by my parents in 1996 for my 16th birthday.
I've had various cars in between including peugeots, minis and a couple of fiats.

then i got given a nissan sunny, the long type shape on a j reg, had fungis growning in the boot and algae on the roof :lol:was driving down the motorway with a friend after a day of owning it, we were both taking the pee out of the car, then i had a brilliant idea, drop it into 1st gear at 70mph

Then i started using my old red mini, 4 weeks later the gearbox exploded, which happened to be new years 08/09, so i built a new modified engine for it, 9 months later i had a balljoint let go at over 60mph, resulting in me losing control, spinning across the path of oncoming traffic and flipping it multipe times into a field, i had an air ambulance, fire truck, normal ambulance and a police car out for that one

Then 4 weeks later i bought the black mini in my sig, 88 jet black, was a non runner, so i bought a 98 fiesta off my mum to use (which i sold recently as i couldnt justify paying the insurance renewal and i needed funds for the mini), i still have the black mini, named fern and despite what i say ill never sell her.
