Sorry guys I wont be doing that to the Emily's car! Not my style and certainly not to a pickup :D

Hmm, same view as Paul Tupman up the road from you when he was rebuilding Huey. Maybe I could drop in on you guys sometime? I'll bring the biscuits

Very nice project and some interesting clues among the bits and pieces you've shown us so far >_<

The jig is pretty much done now, i'm really happy how it's come out. I've got to add a mount to the toe board and to the rear most rear subframe mount. That'll be much easyer now i've got the whole thing straight and true.

It took me about an hour going round it with a few spirit levels but i wanted to make sure I was starting off the right way before I start cutting chunks out of it :(

Haha! Well I haven't got a problem with building a car in that style i'm more worried what Emily would do to me if i did that to her car :gimme:

Yeah pop round some time although I can't guarantee the biscuits will last long.

Shut up moaning, a woman, with a brush, without being told :(
Looks like a good start to the project

I'm intersted to see how you get on with the arches - my set were 'challenging' despite them looking a good fit when first offered up. :(

Whats the idea of the body table, over a roll over body spit?

Ah the lady herself has arrived! Shouldn't you be in the kitchen :P

I'll put some pictures up tomorrow of the arches fitted to another car we've just finished. They were a bit tricky but I was very happy with how they came out.

I don't like the idea of chopping floor out without the shell being solidly mounted to stop it falling in two. I do have a roll over spit aswell but I use it more for sill jobs and painting the underside. The shell will most likely go on it once the metal work is done. Ok it all makes sense to me in my head :P

£200 which is very cheap really.

Well, Huey & I set off for Newton Abbot today to see the lads at MinTec and the clubby estate and Emily's pickup.
First we had to do some research into the breakfast menu at the nearby cafe on the Brunel business park :D
Then we found the workshop and I tried to remember who was who and forgot again immediately
The workshop is pretty awesome with minis all over the place in various states of rebuild. And a few other interesting vehicles, or at least their shells.
I brought some biscuits as promised but I'm afraid they were rather stale despite being a "new" pack. Sorry lads.
Naturally my camera batteries went flat almost at once.
However, the lads were very kind and put up with my dumb questions about Vtech gearboxes etc.
On the way home Huey got a liberal dose of salt & grit from a gritting lorry  but we had a great morning out & look forward to seeing the finished products!

 I did the big arch thing on my pick up (Sonic)
I think it looks awsome. It can always easily be undone! But yeah... i do get it. I know its not always to everyone's taste. This projects coming on nicely though. Looking forward to seeing it!
